I don't make new years resolutions, but I do like to take a moment on my birthday and challenge myself to grow. It's my own personal new years. So for 2011 I pledge to do the following:

Say "yes" to more
make bad decisions
throw up in public (preferably by The Ship, but anywhere on 17th Ave will suffice)

I really did think it said Pickle Fence, until I was half done and realized that why would someone tell me to draw a pickle fence?

A Rolling Pin

While in San Francisco I picked up a neat sketch book at the SFMOMA that is basically 642 things to draw. Because apparently I need a book to tell me to draw things every day. So, that is the goal. Draw something every day. 5 minutes or 5 hours, as long as I draw something. I will post them all here, though probably not every day...

One Tree Hill

This is the first painting I sold, for like real. I think I got like $800 which at the time was almost a month's wages, so I was pretty stoked. And naturally, being me, and being terrified of any form of success, I stopped painting altogether shortly after. Because making a living from art would be horrid. trust me.
